The Bat-eared Fox is so-called because of its large ears which it uses to listen for insects underground. It has long legs and a long, bushy, black-tipped tail.
This animal is mostly nocturnal but, as these photos show, is sometimes seen during the day. It has a lifespan of 8 - 10 years.
These photos of this family of foxes were taken at their burrow in the Masai Mara, Kenya.
