Coke's Hartebeest

Alcelaphus buselaphus cokii

Size: Up to 1.2m high
Habitat: Plains, grassland and open woodland
Feeding: Grass

The Coke's Hartebeest, also called Kongoni, is an antelope with a brown coat, paler brown belly and light rump. Both sexes have bracket-shaped horns.

It is very similar to the Topi but the Topi can be distinguished by the dark patches on the thighs.

It has a lifespan of 10 - 12 years.
