Greater Kudu

Tragelaphus strepsiceros

Size: Up to 1.5m high
Habitat: Wooded areas
Feeding: Leaves, flowers, fruit, seeds and grass

The Greater Kudu is a large antelope with a distinct hump. It has a brown coat with several thin white stripes over its back.

The male, which is larger than the female, has spiralled horns and a long mane on its neck.

It has a lifespan of  about 8 - 12 years.
