Leopard Tortoise

Geochelone pardalis

Size: Up to 45cm long
Habitat: Grassland, Savannah
Feeding: Herbivore

The Leopard Tortoise is one of the larger species of tortoise and the most commonly seen in African savannah. Its shell has distinctive black and creamy/yellow markings.

They have a lifespan of 20 - 30 years, but much longer in captivity.
