Nile Crocodile

The Nile Crocodile is a grey/brown/yellow colour with a paler belly. It has a powerful tail which is about 40% of its total length. The legs are very short and the jaw is huge with more than 60 teeth.
They have a lifespan of more than 75 years!
At one time crocodiles were hunted for their skin and meat threatening their existence. They are farmed for this purpose now and not hunted in the wild.
