The Rock Agama, also called Common Agama, is a lizard. Being cold-blooded creatures they are often seen sunning themselves on rocks.
During the breeding season, the males are spectacularly colourful with an orange/red head and blue body, as shown in the top two photos. The females are much less colourful.
The first photo was taken in the Ruaha National Park, Tanzania and the others in the Masai Mara, Kenya.
