Eastern Pale Chanting Goshawk

Melierax poliopterus

Size: Up to 55 cms long, 110 cms wingspan
Habitat: Bush and savannah
Feeding: Small mammals, rteptiles and birds

The Pale Chanting Goshawk is a large hawk. It is mostly grey with stripes on the belly. The cere is yellow and the legs are long and orangey/red.

This bird of prey is usually found on its own perching high on the top of a tree or pole.
