The Gabar Goshawk is a bird of prey, smaller than other Goshawks.
The head and wings are grey and the belly is white with grey stripes. The eyes and legs are bright red. Juveniles have more of a brown colouring.
One of the most distinguishing features, which is not obvious in this photo, is the tail which has striking black and white bars.
