The Sausage Tree is quite distinctive with its large "sausage-like"
fruits which hang down from the branches. These fruits can be up to a metre
long and 18 cms across. The fruit is poisonous when raw but is used in
herbal medicine as a cure for many different ailments when dried or cooked.
